This was our first time to PR and the St. Regis resort was AMAZING - my kids said this was the nicest resort they've ever stayed in and the weather was warm and sunny each day! The villa was beautiful and spacious, and it was a plus having the golf cart to get us back and forth between the pools and the beach. For us, the pool at the hotel itself was the nicest and largest, and service here was excellent. As long as you show them your resort pass, they will allow you to use the pool at the hotel (there's also an infinity pool by the golf course, which was also nice, but you had to be 18+ to use the top section of the pool - this was not a hit for my kids, so we went to the pool at the hotel OR to the pool right across from the villa – the pool across from the villa was very nice and more low key – you could lug a cooler here w/drinks and food)! We also took advantage daily of the amenities on the lake – we used the bikes/kayaks/ etc. – great fun! Annette was there to great us at the villa when we arrived, which was very helpful. And she even stocked the refrigerator w/some staple items. I will say, the restaurants on the resort premises were very expensive - we went to Ralph's grocery store (very close by) and stocked up on breakfast and lunch items (they also sell beer/wine/liquor), and then went to local restaurants off the resort for dinner most nights. The restaurant by the pool, Sea Grapes, wasn't too expensive, but easily $100 or more for a family of 5 if you weren't ordering cocktails. I would highly recommend renting a car, if possible. We used our car almost every night for dinner and to take us to the El Yunque rain forest for a hike. The only recommendations I would make for the owners of the villa is to have some better lighting in the bathrooms – it was really hard to see in the mirrors. And, if possible, a sectional couch in the living room – it was really hard for a family of 5 to get comfortable on the small couch and the 1 chair. Overall, this was one of the best vacations we’ve ever had and probably the finest resort we have ever stayed in – thanks again!
Great apartment !
The St. Regis and Bahia Beach Resort are stunning and well manicured. Too many activities for the kids to even list. The villa is in excellent condition and very spacious. I would suggest renting a car, as there is plenty to keep you busy on property but it would have been nice to have a vehicle to get to the nearby points of interest.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Bahia Beach Resort last month. We have three boys between the ages of 10 and 5 and they had a blast. The villa was more than comfortable for our family of 5, in addition to being very spacious and clean. We were able to pre-order some food necessities for breakfast/daily snacks and that really helped us spend less overall on eating out. The resort itself is top notch and has something for all ages. We would definitely go back!
Vacationed for my first time to Puerto Rico with my wife, 8 year old son and 3 year old daughter. The property gives you everything you could want and hope for in a vacation. The apartment itself is well stocked, clean, and all you could ask for. Multiple televisions, games, quiet spaces, needed appliances and amenities made it a great center point for our stay. What you have to research to discover a bit is how amazing the resort that the apartment is on is. Bahia Beach is nothing short of spectacular. A great beach resort with wonderful views around every corner. Multiple pools that you can swim in including the one right outside the apartment. The Boat House area which offers kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, and of course the great inflatable play area. The entire resort is simply beautiful and they work very hard to keep it that way. It is also gated with security guards at the gate (who are extremely helpful and nice) Access to the golf cart allows you to get around the resort with ease. The resort is in a great location, easy to get to El Yunque, Old San Juan, and nearly anywhere else you will want to go. Honestly though you will probably just want to hang out at the resort. It is just a few miles from town where you can by the needed supplies and groceries for your stay as well. It really is very difficult to come up with anything bad to say about the place. The only thing we can come up with is that we didn’t get to stay longer. The renters are great at getting back to you and answering any questions you may have, it really is a fantastic spot to say. When we return to Puerto Rico there won’t even be a discussion about where we plan to stay.
We just returned from our stay in Villa Ingrid at the Bahia Beach resort and I can't recommend it enough! For our family of 5 (3 children under 10 years of age) the villa was perfect. The unit was clean and they even stocked it with some basics for us, which was a pleasant surprise. Our boys LOVED the bunk room equipped with Wii and Playstation and even some traditional board games. The location of the villa on the resort was also ideal as it is directly across the street from a beautiful pool (separate from the resort pool) and a soccer field! Having access to all the amenities of the St. Regis was ideal as well. My kids loved the boathouse with all the fun water floats, kayaks, etc. We will DEFINITELY rent this unit again and we all can't wait to return!
We loved our time at Villa Ingrid and the Bahia Beach Resort! A couple of things to highlight about our trip. First, the resort is beautiful and so well maintained. The manicured landscaping, plentiful palm trees, and blooming flowers everywhere were so pretty. We took full advantage of the many amenities at the resort. My personal favorite was biking the trails. My husband loved the driving range, and our boys enjoyed the kayaking and bouncy slides. Of course, we all enjoyed the lovely beach and pools. Speaking of beach, there was either a red flag or yellow flag warning throughout our whole trip. However, many people, my family included, still swam in the ocean. Another highlight of the resort for all of us was the singing of the coqui frogs at night. We loved hearing them! Next, the condo itself is very nice. The condo is well stocked with towels, dishes, etc. We truly did not find it lacking in anything we needed. The decor is pleasant- just as pictured. We found the beds, while soft, to be very comfortable. A couple of little things popped up for us that might be viewed as negatives (poor lighting in the bathrooms, no ceiling fans, and little dresser/drawer space), but for us they were minor and did not impact our overall enjoyment of the condo or our vacation. In fact, we would not hesitate to stay here again. Lastly, I have to compliment the management company. Annette made the whole process from booking to check-out so smooth. She responded to all of our e-mails and/or phone calls promptly and was able to answer our questions pleasantly. Tania met us at the condo upon arrival and was just as friendly and accommodating. In fact, she even delivered some much appreciated food and beverages! We are hoping to return to PR again, and definitely plan on using this management company again. Thank you for a lovely stay!
This is our second time staying at the Villa with our family of 5. The villa is beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a restful vacation. The villa is conveniently located across from the pool and just a quick trip in the golf cart to the members pool/beach or boat house. Our kids loved having so many choices each day. The grounds of the resort are gorgeous and there are many opportunities to learn about local wildlife. There is so much to do you do not need to leave the resort. If you do I suggest hiking El Yunque and visiting EL Morro in old San Juan. Both were quick trips from the resort. John, Annette and Tania took care of all of our needs. The fridge was even stocked with a few basic items which was great since we arrived very late at night. We are already looking to plan next year's trip!
The villa was exactly as advertised. Very clean and a perfect setup for our family. We have been to the St. Regis property many times and each time it meets our expectations and more. We would highly recommend this property to anyone else thinking of going to Puerto Rico for some rest and relaxation.
My only reason I would hold back on this review is that this is a hidden gem and hate for others to discover. Where to begin.. resort is great. It is a st regis property so hard to complain. The service is definitely on carribean time but we are in carribean on vacation. But the staff does there best to accommodate. There are only really three restaurants at the resort and not really any close by so that is something to be prepared for. Staying in the residences does not give you access to the main st regis pool or gym but does give you private member pool access and gym. Honestly in the end, much better as more relaxed - no need to get up at 7am for a chair! You do pay an extra fee but it is minimal. There are pools, golf course, a man made lake with water activities, nature trails etc. In the end a beautiful place to spend a relaxing trip. The only downside (and I saw it in other reviews too) is the water can be rough closing the beach for swimming. We still went in but it was not the typical calm waters of the Caribbean. Onto the condo.. this condo was well set up for our entire family of 6 with beds for all and three full baths. Some of the pros- the management company was very responsive, condo beautifully decorated, lots of room, well equipped, great outdoor area, use of the golf cart to get around - (highlight for the kids). While not on the water it had a very private view of the golf course. Hard to think of anything wrong We made it to El Yuenque which was a very nice hike to a waterfall.. I would caution that on the holidays it can be very crowded with tour buses. Glad we went but would choose another time. There is also a big supermarket on the way which was good to stock up so that we did not need to eat in the restaurants every meal. We did rent a car and while we used the golf cart to get around the resort exclusively, it was helpful to have to get to some of the off property things. We would probably explore a bit more next time (we had hoped to go to the Bio ) but it was canceled due to the conditions - a car is necessary for these adventures!
Villa Ingrid exceeded our expectations in so many ways! Our family of four loved everything about this condo. The patio was perfect for breakfast each morning and the overall layout and decor were so tastefully done we hated to leave! This was definitely one of our favorite family vacations to date! The grounds of the St. Regis are beyond beautiful and the private golf cart made getting around a breeze. The member pool and private beach areas were definite perks! This property is such a gem. We can't wait to come back!!!
Villa Ingrid was a fantastic place to stay for our family of 4. I loved that the two bedrooms flanked the large family/dining area so offered the adults privacy. The master had a very large bath while the kids room (single over double bunk) had it's own tv/Wii and a closet full of games and toys! The 3rd guest bathroom with shower was an added bonus! The decor is cozy/beachy and very comfortable. The balcony overlooks the golf course and has a full-size grill for use. It was still pretty humid while we were there so didn't spend much time outside. It was so nice to walk into our villa with it already stocked with a few items in the fridge and pantry (milk, juice, sodas, bread, deli meat, bananas etc..) And having a full size washer/dryer is always a must for me! The boathouse is a quick golf cart ride or walk where we kayaked, paddle boarded, jumped on the water trampoline and even fished. The kids loved checking out bikes and roaming around the property! Because we traveled during the off season, it was very empty. We didn't use the resort pools but the beach by the golf course is amazing (as is the view). We ate on property at Molasses and Fern -- both were delicious but off property dining was easy to find as well. Annette was accessible whenever I had questions. We can't wait to go back!
This was our third trip to Bahia Beach Resort and our first stay in this villa. The villa was just perfect for our needs. My husband and I, and our three children (ages 3, 6, and 8) had a fun and relaxing trip. The villa is extremely comfortable, clean, and well stocked with anything you might need. We loved having the gas grill right on our patio - we used it everyday for either lunch or dinner. The first day we arrived the grill was not working, but Tania arranged to have it fixed within the hour. When Tania greeted us at the Villa she stocked our fridge with some basics - milk, juice, eggs, bread, lunch meat, cheese, etc. It was really nice not having to run out to the grocery store the moment we got there. We could really get into vacation mode right away and our kids could enjoy the pool. This type of personal service really makes this villa stand out. Our kids loved their bedroom with the bunk beds and trundle bed. There were also some kids toys and games that our kids enjoyed in the evenings and while we were cooking dinner. The Bahia property has so much to offer for families to keep everyone happy. We enjoyed tennis lessons almost everyday - the pro is really great. We had no difficulty getting lessons at the times we wanted. The new pool is fabulous - I think even better than the pool at the St. Regis. The kids had a blast on the inflatables in the lagoon. We also enjoyed exploring on the golf cart through all the trails on the property. In summary, this is a great resort and villa for families. We look forward to coming back again!
We enjoyed our time at Villa Ingrid- from the time we made our reservation John and his staff (especially Annette) were helpful with information regarding auto rental, grocery, use of St. Regis resort amenities. They stocked the refrigerator for us so we could easily prepare our meals without seeking out a grocery store. We did it all and the convenience of the golf cart for our personal use was key! We loved that we could simply roll from the boat house and lake adventure park to the beach and finish up at the pool and dinner carelessly. The concierge for the condos was ver helpful for finding us a snorkeling tour and guiding us in our trip to El Yunque - we are definitely returning!
This is a very nice and comfortable place to stay. This was our second trip and the condo unit is clean with a great back porch overlooking the golf course. The condo has a pool near the entrance and comes with a golf cart to explore the rest of the property. The Bahia Beach is stunning. There is another adult pool, kids pool, bar, beach access and golf course at the clubhouse. There is a boathouse that has kayaks, paddle boards, fishing and a kid's waterpark. Tons of fun and a wonderful place to relax.
This is a beautiful condo in a beautiful setting. The resort and this unit are very well designed and maintained. The buildings are designed and situated to create a luxurious retreat. John's team is thoughtful and available to help or answer questions if needed. The provision of some basic groceries (plus rum!) is a nice touch. This condo would work well for a family, with a full/twin bunk bed in the 2nd bedroom. There are en suite bathrooms in both bedrooms plus a third full bath off the foyer. The patio adds a great 2nd living space, although the couches can be rain-soaked even in the covered area. If the coqui are apt to keep you awake, bring earplugs. The wifi is appreciated, particularly since the poor cell reception is the sole negative (unless you view it as a positive!).
This was our second stay at Villa Ingrid, the condo in wonderful and the whole Bahia Beach complex is beautiful. There is a lot to do at Bahia Beach we loved the beach, the pool, kayaking and trying SUP, and eating at local restaurants. Can't wait to return next year.
We had a wonderful time at this property! It was clean, beautifully decorated and close to the pool and the beach. The golf cart was a great way to get around the property. John was very helpful with every question I had before and during our stay. The beach was great, especially Friday-Sunday when the bar/restaurant was open. I would definitely return!!Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Sightseeing, Girls Getaway, Adventure Seekers, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway, Families with Teenagers.
Villa Ingrid was fantastic!! The pictures represent the unit very well. It was clean and nicely decorated. The veranda was our favorite place to hang out. The grounds and facilities were even better than we expected. The villas were busier on the weekends but extremely quiet during the week of our stay...just what my family of four needed. We took full advantage of the boathouse and the helpful staff that worked there. Special kudos to Norman who went out of his way to take my kids and I fishing to an out of the way area to catch parrot bass. The beach was excellent and my kids loved the boogie boarding on the large, but not too large surf. We truly enjoyed Old San Juan, especially the forts. The waterfalls at the national rainforest were a joy. Word of advice, wear a swimsuit to enjoy swimming in the waterfall pools....great pics of our 9 and 11 year olds. Another suggestion, if you wish to participate in the bioluminescent kayak/swim excursions, book in advance as they fill up. We are saving that adventure for our next trip to PR. Our kids travel often with us to warm places, including numerous trips to the Hawaiian islands. Given the relative short flight from Detroit, their choice is to come back here next Spring Break. Lastly, I can't say enough of John and his staff. They were helpful from the get go and everything from the booking to the day we left for home went smoothly. We truly enjoyed our first visit to PR.
WOW! The St. Regis Bahia Resort is a "one of a kind gem!" The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We loved how large property was - perfect for runnng, bike riding or taking a walk. And its secure - you only can enter thru a gate and guard. Our children loved the boat house. So much to do at the boat house - kayak, paddle board, bike ride, fish, etc. The staff at the boat house talked to our children about the sea life and animals on the property. Every staff member was so friendly! We loved the condo! It was well stocked and very comfy (we thought the beds were comfy too!) It felt like our home - it was well decorated, warm and inviting. It had everything we could or would need. We loved eating out on the deck for breakfast or lunch. The pool area associated with the condo was just steps away and it felt like our own pool as we were the only ones ever there during the week. Sand Dollar beach is beautiful and so peaceful as it sits away from the St. Regis Resort beach. We were often the only ones at the beach - it felt like our own private island. The beach has beach chairs and towels to use (no need to carry extra stuff) as well as bathrooms and an outdoor shower to get the sand off. The beach is just a short golf ride away. My girls loved the golf cart - they thought it was a fun way to get around the property. We loved the area too. We went to the rain forest, horseback riding and into Old San Juan. We sampled many local eateries too - our favorites were Barbakoa, The Ceviche House in Luquillo, and La Parilla in Luquillo. John and his staff were awesome to work with - answering questions, responding to emails, etc. The whole process was easy and we will definitely be back at Villa Ingrid and the St. Regis Bahia Resort.
A beautiful and large condo, well appointed, clean, modern. Fully furnished with all major appliances, lovely balcony, very roomy. This unit was much nicer than we expected. It's a great deal especially compared to the rates at the St. Regis hotel. John and his staff are excellent, responsive and trustworthy. We were met by his assistant who walked us through the unit, gave us instructions and answered all our questions. The unit was even stocked with some essential groceries! The grounds are beautiful, the pool is clean and right outside the front door. The beach is very nice, a short golf-cart ride away or a 5-10 minute walk. Golf course is a short walk away as well. I would highly recommend this unit and John's services.
What a beautiful property this is. It was everything we expected and more. We had the most incredible time. Enjoyed the many amenities that the resort had to offer especially the beach. Having the use of the golf cart made exploring the resort a lot of fun. John's villa is beautiful and equipped with everything you could possibly need. He and his staff are so friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the shopping and dining in San Juan. Two of our favorites were El Jibarito for authentic Puerto Rican and Al Dente for Italian. Hiking in the rainforest is an absolute must. We highly recommend Villa Ingrid. You will not be disappointed. We can't wait to go back.Recommended for: People with Disabilities, Families with Young Children, Sightseeing, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Adventure Seekers, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway, Families with Teenagers.
Just left this property today and wanted to pass on the great reviews. The fact that I am writing this is reason enough to experience this great unit - I NEVER write reviews! The property itself is on the larger property of Bahia Beach Resort which is a master planned community anchored by the St Regis. We drove the provided golf cart to the St Regis several times and laughed because our place was as nice and in our opinion much better! The unit itself sleeps 5 comfortably with the 5th bed (trundle) not shown in the pictures. The private beach is a 5-10 minute golf cart ride away and the unit itself is on the golf course. We visited the beach every day and saw a total of 10 people all week (excluding resort personnel). It felt like we had the entire island to ourself-in a good way! Bahia Beach Resort is ultra exclusive-we even had a resort employee come to our unit to ensure we had ordered a pizza before they let anyone in the gate! I cannot say enough about how impressed we were with Bahia Beach Resort and specifically our unit! The unit itself was awesome, immaculately decorated, and everything we needed/wanted was provided. The property manager was a pleasure to deal with, was always prompt with questions and communications and even had a welcome package that was a lifesaver on the first couple of days! The St Regis was very nice but VERY expensive for dining (this was expected), but there is a grocery store very close and several restaurants in the area. You should have absolutely NO reservations about this property or the property management. From beginning to end, this was the best vacation experience ever! I have stayed at the El Conquistador and the Wyndham Rio Mar (even when it was the Westin) numerous times, and I will never stay anywhere again other than this resort. Thanks for the great experience for me and my family (wife and 3 kids-2,4,6).Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Sightseeing, Adventure Seekers, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway, Families with Teenagers.
This is a beautiful property that provided all the amenities (and more!) my family needed for a very enjoyable and memorable Summer break. We had very high expectations going in and the Villa actually exceeded them! It is very tastefully decorated and extremely well equipped. The resort grounds are amazing, as well. Not only is the landscaping and scenery gorgeous but it also has the available tennis courts, the Boathouse with kayaks, bikes and paddleboards. I truly love that the resort provides these amenities that make it fun but it is still very tranquil, peaceful and provides privacy, which is very relaxing. It was the perfect getaway to recharge with the family. We wished we stayed longer and plan to go back. Ps: John and the staff are very friendly and attentive!
We had a great summer vacation at this lovely apartment. It is fully furnished with all the conforts for a perfect vacation. We're a family of 4 and every one was happy with the apartment and all the amenities. The resort is wonderfull, the walking trails, the pool area, the golf course and everything else was perfect. The boat house was a great daily activity for the kids with kayaks and even jumping in the lake waters. The golf cart included with the rental is also very helpfull to get around the resort. We're looking forward to staying next year. Thanks to the owners for sharing your property with us! Carlos Monge & Family
