The condo was clean, easy to walk in and walk out, with a view over the golf course. It was well furnished and looked better than the pictures suggest. My wife who is a very light sleeper had no complaints and appreciated the comfortable beds and soft linens. Compared to so many other Caribbean islands that we have visited, we were struck by the lack of mosquitoes. This could have been because of the constant ocean breeze that we experienced during out visit. Having access to the golf cart was a highlight of our stay. The main swimming pool was gorgeous and we particularly enjoyed evening swims with the view of the waves crashing on the beach and the swaying coconut trees. We took many long walks along the crescent stretch of sand beach with nesting sites for sea turtles and many seabirds. While it is too rough to swim directly in front of the pool, a short golf cart ride to the East brought us to a section called Sand Dollar beach were the waves were small enough for swimming but large enough for the children to use their boogie board which was a lot of fun. This is definitely not a beach with calm water but the waves provide a lot of atmosphere and made getting into the water exhilarating. The resort was lush, green, beautifully maintained and most of the time it appeared as if we had the entire place to ourselves. The personnel were friendly and attentive. We used the luxurious fitness facility and made friends with the many ducks that made their residence on the porch there. We have good memories of playing tennis on the beautiful tennis courts, with the ocean breeze blowing through the coconut trees and surrounded by exotic tropical bushes. A car is important if you want to have choices of places to eat and to visit San Juan and the rain forest. Finally, the it was reassuring to find that the vacation rental company that managed the condo was professional, helpful and attentive.
