As you drive out of the airport you will pass an underpass under one of the taxiways. You want to head east on Rte. 26 (more commonly known as Avenida Baldorioty de Castro). Take the second turnoff to the right – the signs say “Fajardo” and “Carolina”. This puts you on Route 26.
If you are coming from points further West (Isla Verde, Old San Juan or the Condado) you pass the main airport entrance. The airport is to your left.
After about 3 miles there are several turnoffs in rapid succession to the right, onto Route 3, Carolina and other points. Stay in one of the two left lanes, you want to stay on Route 26, going toward Fajardo.
Route 26 then becomes Route 66, and shortly you pass through the first toll station. The express lanes are on the left.
After about 11 miles Route 66 comes to an end at Route 3 (Route 3 and 66 basically run parallel)
Bear right onto Route 3.
After 1 mile you will pass a sign on the right that says "Coco Beach, Gran Melia". Keep going, you're going in the right direction.
After another 3 miles you will see a sign on the right for the turnoff to El Yunque Rain forest. Keep going.
After another 3 miles you pass the Luquillo food kiosks on your left (about 50 of them), and then you cross over the concrete overpass at the entrance to the Luquillo public beach.
Move to the left lane, and after 1/2 mile you reach a traffic light at Route 193. Turn left here
After about 75 yards there is a stop sign. Turn left. Pass the Banco Popular branch (good to know when you need an ATM machine) on your right.
Turn right at the third street, just after a small sign that marks Km. 0.9. The street is Calle Ocean Drive. There is also a large sign identifying this neighborhood as Brisas de Solimar.
After about 300 yards you come to the beach; bear left.
With the beach on your right follow the road. You will come to a sharp left and then a sharp right.
Another 100 yards brings you to the end of the road and 2 apartment complexes. Poza del Mar is the gate on the right.
If you have been given a remote control unit by us use it to open the gate and park in space 402, on the right (second to last). If you do not have the remote control unit we will have told you where to find the hidden key for the pedestrian access gate. Leave the car outside for a moment and enter the parking lot through this gate.
As you walk toward the beach unit 402 is on the left, second floor, on the corner facing the beach.
To the left of door, on the wall, is a lock box. Lower the cover and enter the 4-digit code that you have been given. There is a little lever to the left of the tumblers; press it down and the lock box opens, and the emergency set of keys with a green tag is inside.
Use these keys to open the apartment. Inside it you will find 2 sets of keys on the table, one with a blue tag and one with a red tag, and also a remote control unit for the parking gate. Please return the lock box key set (green tag) to the lock box, this is the emergency set. Scramble the code.
Each key set consists of 3 keys - two for the front door and one for the beach access gate.

This is a great place to stay. Really close to Luquillo beach (which is one of the most beautiful in Puerto Rico) and close to Farjardo (where there are small beaches off the regular beat) and service to smaller islands off the eastern coast. You can't go wrong with this place.- Michael , Posted: 05/15/2019- Source: AirBnb
A Hidden Gem
This condo is perfect for a getaway to Puerto Rico as a couples get away or with family! The complex itself is very nice and well maintained. The water is truly crystal clear and calm like a pool. There is a reef several hundred feet off the beach so it keeps the water calm PERFECT for small children. The pictures are really accurate. It is in a gated community so it feels very safe. The unit was very clean, linens were fresh. It originally concerned me that there was no air conditioning for the whole condo, because it is just had bedroom units, but it was never a problem. We kept all the doors and windows open the entire time and had an amazing ocean breeze that kept the condo cool. We only used the air conditioners at night when we had everything closed up. The condo is convenient to Fajardo and the rainforest. There are fast food restaurants nearby but our favorite was a Mexican restaurant named Lolita’s about 10 mins away and the kiosks about 5 mins away. There is a nearby public beach so we claimed our space early on the weekend days because we took hammocks to hang from the palm trees which worked out perfectly, but it was mainly secluded. During the week. There is also a grocery store about 5 mins away, which is a small Walmart under a different name, and a Walmart about 10 mins away near Fajardo. Prices are very reasonable and you can purchase almost anything you need for food and drink including beer and liquor. We would visit and stay here again!- Sandy G , Posted: 05/11/2019- Source: Home Away

This unit is great - 100% recommended Amazing view from balcony At end of dead end, very nice location Secure building area Beach is littered with coral pieces, has weeds out in the water, & is fairly shallow Beach right out front is still nice, though more well suited to sun bathing/relaxing than romping around in the sand & surf, still possible, but ouch Luquillo Beach is a short scenic beach walk away & has amenities + great beach (as are kioskos) Unit has 1 bdrm w 2 singles + rollaway & 1 bdrm with a king(?) - not truly a 5 bed, though couch is spacious & weather is nice enough that one could probably sleep outside in the lounge chair Basic cooking supplies (condiments/oil/etc) & utensils - well stocked Expresso percolator was nice to have Welcome packet had great information WiFi was a touch slow, though certainly usable for work Water was hit/miss on warmth (not a big deal) Revolution Pizza & Brass Cactus were both good & close Walgreens + Walmart (amigos) minutes away 30min-1hr from SJU If you have the time, our group was in awe with Hector's Swim the Bio Bay It's on the other side of the island, though driving around & seeing west-side sights makes a great day (rock tower/lighthouse + rockbridge) Thanks John! Loved it! The condo was great. We had everything we needed for a fabulous stay. The location was also great. Ocean view from sunrise to sunset. The ocean was beautiful and only footsteps away. This location provided easy day trips to other areas of Puerto Rico. We were allowed a later check out time which was helpful due to our flight time. All wonderful! I wish we could have stayed longer!- Julie H , Posted: 09/04/2017- Source: Home Away
Amazing and wonderful location!
The place is located perfectly steps from the beach. The view is the best part! It was beautiful during the day and just as amazing at night. You can definitely experience the island feeling, as you decide to be a little adventurous, when you walk the shore line towards the left of the beach/building. The tide comes in and you walk on water the whole time. It is beautiful. The stores and gas station are really close. We recommend renting a car, you are able to commute much easier and the GPS did not fail. The place was very well prepared and the instructions in using everything accordingly was prepared perfectly. We had no problems in our arrival or departure. We felt right at home. The balcony was very accommodating as well. We will definitely return and have suggested this place to others. Thank you for the hospitality!- Melissa B from Washington, DC, Posted: 07/05/2017- Source: Home Away
